Hurricane Relief - Most Needed Items

Following is a suggested list of most needed items for Hurricane disaster relief. As the relief efforts continue, and the focus shifts from rescue, to housing and shelter, to clean up, to rebuilding, the list of most needed items will also change. By focusing on the items and categories listed below, you are helping the Food Bank prepare to meet the changing face of what all anticipate will be a lengthy rescue and recovery situation.

Please pre-sort all items into categories prior to delivery to the Food Bank location nearest you. Only those items not requiring refrigeration can be accepted. And remember, glass and products in glass containers can not be accepted.

If you don't have the time or means to organize a real food drive, an alternative suggestion is to hold a virtual food drive. All donations collected for hurricane disaster relief through the Food Bank's virtual food drive page will be used to manage, sort, package, and transport the most needed items to the affected areas, and to re-stock depleted inventories.
